An outstanding exhibition of the work of five contemporary artists from North Africa Signs Traces Calligraphy was staged at London's Barbican Centre last month as part of the Africa '95 exhibition being held in the British capital.
The work of Egyptian born Ahmed Moustafa, Libya's Ali Omar Ermes, Rachid Koraichi of Algeria, Tunisian Nja Mahdaoui and Mehdi Qotbi of Morocco, attracted a wide range of international visitors during its run in London.
